On April 18th, David Nummy, the Associate Dean of Strategic Development of  Unitec Institute of Technology (Unitec) and Luo Liang, the manager of International Relationship 

Department, visited Chengdu Normal University(CNU). Chenning, the president of CNU, Chen Yuping, the director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office CNU, Liuzhi, 

the vice director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office, and Yang Guoren, the Head of Physics & Engineering Technology welcomed the honorable guests. President Chen 

introduced the history, the development, the characteristics and international programsof CNU. Both universities determined to strengthen exchange and cooperation and planned to 

build a platform for further cooperation.

Accompanied by Director Chen Yuping and Yang Guoren, Mr. Nummy visited the Surveying Laboratories and Automobile Training Base. They also visited the 

excellent works completed by CNU’s teachers and students. 

Later, a meeting was held in terms of language training, further study, student and teacher exchange between CNU and Unitec. Both universities agreed on the principle that in this 

globalization trend, itis significant to expand inter-university cooperation, further academic exchange, and promote students’ cultivation.

In the afternoon, Dr. Nummy presented the characteristics of New Zealand and the general information of Unitec. He also communicated with students of CNU and all students 

reported positively for this presentation.
