Chengdu Normal University Launched A Remote-classroom Teaching Activity

      On March 18th, the 3rd grade students major in primary education from Education School of Chengdu Normal University had a successful remote-class as well as a teaching and research activity via Internet with teachers of Eldu Ziteng Primary School and High-tech Zone Xincheng Primary School.

      Ma Hongtao, a teacher from Eldu Ziteng Primary School, demonstrated a class by using smart classroom in Eldu Ziteng Primary School. At the same time, she also interacted with students located in High-tech Zone Xincheng Primary School by using the internet .

After this demonstration course, students who attended praised this demonstration class highly. Tianyao, a student from the 3rd primary education major of Education school, said, “What amazed me most is the connection between two separately located schools by employing modern teaching pattern and facilities. In addition, by using feedback devices, students in the class could respond their learning result immediately, which is beneficial for teaching.”Jingmeng, another student from Education school said, “After this activity, I found that the facilities in primary schools are well-constructed and the technology is frequently used in classrooms. That reveals that technology has become the indispensable part of our future instruction. Thus, our students should constantly make efforts to this.”

Zhou Xinyi, the director of Internet and Information center of Chengdu Normal University, discussed with the leaders and experts from High-tech Zone in terms of teaching design, teaching process, and the assessment of this class. He said, “It is a  significant exploration, especially for the students major in education. For one thing, it enabled teaching research between schools to be more convenient, which helps increase the efficiency of teaching and teaching result sharing ; for another, this activity would solve the problem that students are cultivated in universities without specific targets. It means observing these excellent courses regularly and discussing with experienced teachers will also become important elements in the future cultivation process. Chengdu Normal University, with High-tech Zone will try to normalize this activity together.”
