Program Introduction

This is a joint program of Chengdu Normal University (CDNU) and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College£¨TAR UC£© in Malaysia, aimed to cultivate high-end international accounting talents. It is the first project in China to obtain the exemption from 9 subjects at maximum in ACCA Examination at the Stage of Application of Knowledge and the Stage of Application of Skills. (At present, the accounting undergraduate graduates of Chinese universities are exempted from 5 subjects of ACCA Examination at maximum). The graduates of this program will obtain the bachelor degree in Asset Appraisal from CDNU and the bachelor degree in accounting from TAR UC, as well as the exemption from 9 subjects in total in ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Examination at the Stage of Application of Knowledge and the Stage of Application of Skills. In order to support the suty of students, our university has specially set up a program scholarship.


Program Structure

In the first two years, students study in CDNU. After completing corresponding credits and attained 5.5 points in IELTS examination, students can go to TAR UC to complete the third and fourth year of their program study.


Introduction of ACCA

ACCA is the most authoritative and forward-thinking professional accountancy body in the world. ACCA certificate is known as "the gold card for free access to the global financial sector" and "the authoritative pass into listed companies and multinational groups". In China, the certified ACCA (International Certified Public Accountant) has been listed in the "13th five year plan" talent development catalog of Shanghai's financial sector and talent introduction catalogs of Chengdu, Shenzhen and other first tier cities.


Introduction of TAR UC

Founded in 1969, TAR UC is a high-level university offering tertiary education in a wide range of disciplines and it is an education partner certified by ACCA.  TAR UC ranks as one of the top 5% education institutions in the world which offer ACCA courses, and is the platinum-level chartered education partner of ACCA. TAR UC has a strong faculty of accounting, with the largest number of accounting students enrolled in Malaysia. The main campus of TAR UC is in Kuala Lumpur, and 5 other sub campuses are in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah respectively.  A total number of 28000 students are enrolled in TAR UC.

With the dual bachelor degree in asset appraisal and accounting as well as strong English language ability, graduates of this program has a very promising prospect of employment in China. At the same time, accounting graduates with ACCA qualification are also popular in the talent market in Southeast Asian countries, such as Singapore.

Program graduates can apply for postgraduate study both in China and English-speaking countries, including the UK and USA.

£¨3£©ACCA Qualification

After graduation, in addition to the exemption from 9 subjects in ACCA, TAR UC will guide and help students prepare for the remaining 4 subjects of ACCA Examination during their senior year, so this is the best way for Chinese students to move towards high-end international finance.


Application Requirements

£¨1£©Second batch of undergraduate admission, excluding art and sports students;

£¨2£©In principle, the score of English subject in college entrance examination should reach 70% or more of the total score;

£¨3£© Applicants¡¯ family should be able to bear the cost of language training and study abroad.

£¨2) Within one week after registration, freshmen who intend to join the program should go to the international exchange and Cooperation Office (room 309-311, administration building) to submit the application form.
