The School of Computer Science has developed its own advantages and characteristics after many years of practice. It has 56 full-time teachers, among whom 44 teachers hold master’s or doctoral degree and19 have senior titles. There are also 16industry experts and technique backbones serving as part-time teachers in thefaculty team.

The School of Computer Science offers 2 bachelor degree programs: Digital Media Technology and Computer Science and Technology. The School adopts application-oriented talent training mode. It hosts 12 production-education integration projects of the Ministry of Education, and has carried out extensive and in-depth collaboration with well-known enterprises in the fields of curriculum construction, teacher training, teaching reform, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as internships and practical training. The practice teaching system developed by the School has won the third prize in the eighth selection of excellent teaching achievements of Sichuan Province.

Students of theSchool of Computer Science have developed more than 100 provincial and nationalinnovation and entrepreneurship projects, dozens of which have applied toindustry.In 2017, the student projectnamed Mobile Classroom won the silver prize in the Internet plus UniversityStudent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest. Students have also obtained 15patents of utility models and national software copyrights, and published dozensof research papers. Since 2012, students have participated in variousdiscipline competitions, and won 51 national prizes in total, including special,first, second and third prizes. hey have also won 69 provincial first, secondand third prizes. In 2017, students from the School of Computer Science havewon the first prize in the Challenge Cup Contest of Sichuan Province.

The School has acomputer experiment center, computer application ability training center and anumber of innovative experimental studios which cover more than 2000 squaremeters in area. It also has and a number of off-campus training bases,providing good platforms for the students to develop professional skills.

In the recent years,the employment rate of the School of Computer Science has maintained above 95%. The graduates of 2017 entered large multinationalcompanies such as Tencent and Lenovo, and have obtained an annual salary ofover 200,000 CNY.
