School of Economics and Management

The School of Economics and Management is a new department which is a combination of the two departments: the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Economic and Trade.


The School offers three bachelor degree programs in Trade and Economics, Logistics Management, and Asset appraisal. There are more than 1200 students enrolled in the School of Economics and Management. The average employment rate of the past 3 years has reached 98.6%. Outstanding students have won first, second and third prize in the National International Trade Elite Challenge Contest; the third prize in the EPR Sand Table Simulation Business Competition of Sichuan Province; the third prize in National Supply Chain Operation Management Contest, etc.


The faculty team of the School of Economics and Management is young, highly educated and well-structured,  comprised of 47 full-time teachers, 6 full-time counselors, 1 full-time laboratory management personnel, and 11 part-time teachers. Among them, there are 1 expert who enjoys a special government allowance from the State Council, 2  academic and technical leaders in Sichuan Province, 3 postdoctoral staff, 15 doctors, 8 professors, 22 associate professors, and 46 teachers with education background in "211" or "985" universities, and 10 with double qualifications.


In recent years, teachers of the School of Economics and Management have directed more than 20 scientific research projects of provincial level or above, over 20 of department level, and over 10 of Chengdu Normal University (CDNU), with a total funding of around one million from horizontal scientific research projects. Faculty members have published 8 academic monographs, won 3 third prizes for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements in Philosophy and Social sciences of Sichuan Province, and published several hundred of academic papers. They have also won 1 second prize in the provincial undergraduate teaching contest, 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes in CDNU undergraduate teaching contest, as well as 1second prize in the national university education reform projects, and directed 3 production-and-education integration projects of Ministry of Education.
